Overview

Tristen Pomerance is the founder of LEGALLY BUILT, a Calgary boutique firm focused on construction law. Her practice spans contract drafting and negotiation, risk management, project structuring and compliance, and complex construction dispute resolution. Before launching LEGALLY BUILT, Tristen served as in-house counsel for an international general contractor, where she led multimillion-dollar disputes and advised on major infrastructure and building projects across Canada. Earlier, she practised litigation at a national and local boutique firm and appeared before every level of Court in Alberta and the Federal Court of Canada. Her experience includes Federal Court patent litigation, appellate work, multiparty arbitration, public-private partnership disputes, contract reviews, and occupational health and safety proceedings. Tristen earned a BA from Mount Royal University and an LLB with First Class Honours from Cardiff University. She completed National Committee on Accreditation certification in 2015 and has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta since 2017. She is also involved with construction law and industry organizations.
