Overview

Sacha Nelson is an associate in McMillan LLP's Commercial Real Estate practice in Vancouver. She advises on commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition, disposition, and financing of large-scale commercial properties. Her work includes loan agreements, ancillary contracts, closings related to real property financings, mortgage assumptions, and refinancing. Sacha also advises on the formation of limited partnerships and negotiates lease agreements for commercial properties. She has negotiated leases across British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario for landlords and tenants, and has acted for a U.S. real estate investment trust in a $287 million long-term leaseback of automotive dealerships. Before joining McMillan, Sacha practised at firms in Ontario and Manitoba, advising domestic and international clients on real estate transactions. She was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2017, the Ontario Bar in 2022, and the British Columbia Bar in 2024. Sacha holds a JD from Robson Hall Law School at the University of Manitoba.
