Overview

Jay has been counsel with respect to several criminal murder Trials and also has experience in Family Court, Tax Court, Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. Jay has acted as counsel on many Boards and Tribunals, including the Worker’s Compensation Board, Highway Traffic Board, Professional Discipline Committees (including matters involving physicians, chiropractors, accountants, agrologist, insurance agent, teachers, nurses, dentists, lawyers, psychologists, pharmacists, private investigators, massage therapist, real estate agents and police officers), the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board, Federal and Provincial Human Rights Commissions, the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Commission, the Automobile Injury Appeal Commission and the Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal. Jay has also appeared as counsel on two Public Inquiries being the Stonechild Inquiry and the Milgaard Inquiry. Beyond his legal work, Jay is committed to community involvement, having served on the boards of various organizations. He enjoys an active lifestyle and spends his free time playing poker, pool, weight-lifting, and golfing. Jay resides in Saskatoon and is the proud father of three children.
