With substantial experience in trial, appellate and injunctive litigation, Alexandre has a diverse skillset that allow him to respond to the needs of clients. He appears regularly before all Courts in the province of Manitoba, and has appeared before the Courts of multiple Canadian jurisdictions. Alexandre maintains a strong practice in construction law, specializing in construction litigation and procurement. He regularly advises owners, general contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers, design professionals, and bonding companies and sureties in complex litigation disputes. He helps clients navigate the complexities of the Builder's Liens Act, including prompt payment legislation, and regularly acts to enforce and contest the rights of lien claimants. He works to bring about practical resolution of construction disputes, including through mediation or arbitration. Alexandre also practices in corporate commercial litigation. He acts regularly in matters involving shareholders rights, including in advancing or defending oppression remedies, and in advancing plans of arrangement. Alexandre also regularly acts for investors with regards to claims involving allegations of misrepresentation and fraud. Alexandre also acts in insured claims, including in relation to professional liability, product liability and insurance defence. In addition, he frequently advises clients on the strength of contractual provisions related to liability, allowing clients to avoid disputes before they arise.
