Overview

Sierra Heisler is Counsel in the Edmonton office of MLT Aikins. She is a corporate and commercial lawyer whose practice focuses on commercial real estate, corporate law and municipal law matters. Her real estate experience includes commercial leasing for both landlords and tenants, real property purchases and sales, property development and real estate financing. She has appeared before the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board and the Land and Property Rights Tribunal. Heisler also advises on share and asset purchase and sale transactions, financings, unanimous shareholder agreements, joint ventures, strategic partnerships and other project-related agreements. Before joining MLT Aikins, she practised at international law firms in Edmonton and Calgary. Her in-house secondments included work with a national retailer on leasing documents, an Alberta electrical utility's regulatory department and a national insurance company on corporate matters. She was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2014 and earned a JD with distinction from the University of Alberta in 2013.
