She acts for clients on domestic and cross-border private mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, debt and equity financings, and other corporate and commercial transactions. Shayna's clients span a broad range of industry sectors, including technology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, natural resources, manufacturing and retail.

While at the Université de Montréal, Shayna clerked for Justice Martin Castonguay of the Superior Court of Québec, Montréal Division.

Acted as Canadian counsel to an affiliate of Lone Star Funds, in its acquisition of Alliance Ground International, a leading North American provider of airport ground handling and cargo services.

Acted as Canadian counsel to an affiliate of Lone Star Funds in its US$3.8-billion all-cash acquisition of Hillenbrand, Inc., a global provider of engineered industrial equipment and solutions.

Acted for Gilead Sciences, Inc., a leading biopharmaceutical company, in its acquisition of RP-3467, a polymerase theta ATPase inhibitor, from Montréal-based Repare Therapeutics Inc. for up to US$30 million.

Acted for Mountaingate Capital Management II, L.P. in the sale of its interest in Damotech Inc., a leading rack safety manufacturer, to an affiliate of Vance St. Capital

Acted as Canadian counsel for eStruxture Data Centers in its C$750-million securitization transaction, which formed part of eStruxture's aggregate C$1.35-billion financing round, and which will be used to advance AI-ready data centers across Canada.

Acted as Canadian counsel to Bain Capital, a leading global private investment firm, in its US$3.3 billion acquisition of Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation, a Japanese pharmaceutical company.
