Overview

Sara Reid is the founding partner of REID Legal, a Montréal boutique focused on commercial real estate. After more than a decade at major Canadian firms, she established the practice to provide specialized, practical counsel on complex property transactions. Sara advises major corporations, institutional investors, real estate funds, real estate investment trusts, developers and private asset managers. Her work includes acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing, development, financing and other real estate capital-markets matters. Before founding REID Legal, Sara was a partner at Fasken and previously practised at Dentons and Heenan Blaikie, where she advised on real estate capital-markets transactions. She has served as chair of the Canadian Bar Association's National Real Property Law Section. Sara earned her LL.L., summa cum laude, from the University of Ottawa in 2010 and was admitted to the Québec bar in 2012.
