Sam specializes in corporate and tax law. He counsels clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and matters related to investment funds. Over his long career, Sam has become a close adviser to many high-net-worth families. He works closely with their offices in Canada, the United States, England and Israel.

Sam is chairman of the board of HSBC Bank Canada, and a director of HSBC North America Holdings Inc. He is also a director of Reitmans (Canada) Limited and of several private companies. A dedicated community leader, Sam is past president and member of the Board of Governors of the Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital Corporation, and a member of McGill University’s Board of Governors.
