Patrick Essiminy is a partner and Head of the Montréal office's Employment & Labour Group, as well as a member of the Montréal Office's Management Committee. He advises some of North America's largest employers and is known for his strategic and practical approach, offering advice that is both effective and aligned with business priorities.
Patrick represents his clients before Québec labour tribunals, including arbitrators, the Tribunal administratif du travail , as well as civil courts, including the Superior Court and the Quebec Court of Appeal. His litigation practice covers unjust dismissals, injunctive relief, judicial review, and any other matter related to employment and labour law disputes.
With broad experience in workplace health and safety, union certification, employment litigation, and collective bargaining, Patrick has earned recognition from leading legal directories, including Chambers Canada since 2018, Best Lawyers since 2013, and Lexpert since 2023.
Patrick is the founding editor of the Stikeman Elliott Employment & Labour Law blog and a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars.
