Overview

Matthew R. Hibbert is a partner in the Corporate Group at Aird & Berlis LLP in Toronto. His practice focuses on complex corporate and commercial matters, including joint ventures, reorganizations and agreements concerning supply, distribution, manufacturing and promotion. Matthew also has extensive experience advising on public and private mergers and acquisitions. He acts for public companies, private businesses and startups across regulated industries, and has a strong background in the food and beverage sector, including alcohol regulatory matters. Before joining Aird & Berlis, Matthew was a partner at an international law firm, headed its Business Law Department and co-chaired two practice groups. He was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2000 after earning an LLB from Queen's University and a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University. His professional memberships include the Canadian Bar Association and Ontario Bar Association.
