Louis-Charles Filiatrault is a partner in the Business Law Group in Montreal. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions (public and private), securities law and corporate finance.
Louis-Charles routinely assists Canadian and foreign clients, institutional investors, private equity firms and family offices in local and cross-border acquisitions and divestitures, going-private transactions of publicly listed issuers, restructuring and general commercial matters. He also provides advice to public company clients on corporate governance and ongoing securities law requirements, including continuous disclosure matters. Louis-Charles’s experience spans across a wide range of industries, with a particular emphasis on technology.
In 2018 and 2019, he worked in the London, England office, focusing on Canada/EU/UK cross-border M&A and debt capital markets transactions, providing Canadian corporate and securities advice to foreign clients. Louis-Charles holds a licence degree in civil law (LLL) from Ottawa University (2012) and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Université de Montréal (2009). He was called to the Québec Bar in 2014.
