Overview

Jordan Schultz (He/Him/His) is a Partner in Dentons’ Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy group. His practice focuses on complex commercial restructuring and insolvency matters, including in- and out-of-court restructurings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA), interim or “debtor-in-possession” financing, distressed asset purchases, and governance issues for insolvent companies.

Jordan regularly acts for a wide range of stakeholders-debtors, monitors, lenders, trustees, receivers, and investors-across industries including real estate, forestry, agriculture, retail, mining, aviation, and technology. He is both an experienced litigator, having appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia, and a skilled commercial advisor on financing, acquisition, and restructuring transactions. His cross-disciplinary approach ensures practical, strategic solutions for clients navigating complex financial challenges.

Jordan also leads Dentons’ Vancouver insolvency team, one of the largest in Canada, while driving pro bono initiatives and mentoring the next generation of lawyers. Widely regarded as an expert in insolvency law, Jordan has authored articles in leading Canadian insolvency journals, speaks regularly at industry programs such as the Annual Review of Insolvency Law and CLEBC Bankruptcy & Insolvency course, and is recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada as one of British Columbia’s leading insolvency lawyers.
