Jean-Claude Bachand is a senior business advisor at Dentons Canada's Montréal office.
Jean-Claude brings to his clients over 30 years of executive and business experience in the financial services industry. He was active in the mutual fund industry in Europe (1970-1972) and, from 1972 to 1984, worked in banking and held executive positions with the Banque Nationale de Paris group, both in Canada and abroad. He then became Executive Vice-President and General Counsel at Montreal Trust.
Jean-Claude is a member of various boards, including I.G. Investment Management, Ltd. (Winnipeg), and was Chairman of the Executive Advisory Council of Investors Group-Québec. From 1994 to 2005, he was a member of the Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. He also served as the Honorary Consul General for the Principality of Monaco in Montréal.
