Overview

The Honourable James S. Peterson was a former member of Parliament and federal cabinet minister who later joined Fasken. At the firm he worked on major public-policy and trade initiatives, including serving as Ontario's chief negotiator in Quebec-Ontario trade and labour-mobility negotiations and in the Canada-United States softwood lumber dispute. He died on May 10, 2024, at age 82.
