Overview

Christian Jacques is a partner in Osler's Emerging and High Growth Companies Group in Montréal. He focuses on venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and public offerings for emerging and high-growth businesses. Christian works with clients ranging from early-stage startups to established public companies, as well as private equity and venture capital funds. His industry experience includes software as a service, virtual and augmented reality, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, neurotechnology, blockchain and cryptocurrency. The firm's representative matters show him advising companies through pre-seed and later financing rounds, secondary transactions and other growth-stage transactions. Before returning to Osler as a partner, Christian launched and co-led an emerging and high-growth practice at another major Canadian law firm. Earlier, he worked as a corporate finance analyst in the Capital Market Division of Québec's Autorité des marchés financiers. Christian began his legal career at Osler as an articling student and associate and was admitted to the Québec bar in 2004.
