Charles Bardou practices corporate and commercial law at Dentons' Montréal office. He specializes in infrastructure, public-private partnerships (PPPs), construction, and public procurement, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Charles advises both public authorities and private sector entities on all stages of the infrastructure project life cycle, from initial planning to implementation, including the procurement process and contract negotiation. He plays a key role in the legal structuring of complex projects, particularly those carried out using alternative and collaborative methods such as PPPs, design-build contracts (including progressive models), IAC/IAGC contracts, and risk management contracts.

Charles is regularly called upon to advise public and private developers on strategic planning, risk analysis and mitigation, and the drafting and negotiation of tender documentation and project agreements. His ability to anticipate legal and commercial issues, combined with his thoroughness and in-depth understanding of contractual mechanisms, make him a trusted advisor in the execution of large-scale projects. As part of his infrastructure and public procurement practice, Charles represents clients in connection with share and asset purchase transactions, amalgamations and corporate reorganizations in a wide variety of industries, including retail, manufacturing, professional services, construction and education. He also regularly drafts, reviews and negotiates partnership and shareholders agreements, joint venture agreements, services agreements, construction contracts and other commercial agreements. Charles also advises clients on commercial leasing and licensing matters, drafting and reviewing commercial leases, as well as applications for various licenses and permits from public authorities.
