Overview

Avneet Jaswal is a senior associate in Norton Rose Fulbright Canada's Toronto office. She maintains a broad labour and employment practice for unionized and non-unionized employers. Her work covers employment standards, employment agreements, terminations, workplace policies, wrongful dismissal litigation, grievance and interest arbitrations, human rights matters, occupational health and safety, accommodation issues and employment aspects of corporate transactions. Avneet has appeared as counsel before arbitrators, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Canadian Industrial Relations Board and the Canadian Human Rights Commission and Tribunal. During a nine-month secondment with a large national retailer, she managed employment-related litigation and advised human resources and compliance teams. She joined Norton Rose Fulbright's Toronto office in 2025 after practising in the labour, employment and human rights group of a large national firm. Avneet earned her JD from Western University in 2016 and was admitted in Ontario that year.
