Overview

Anthony Rudman is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group of Dentons Canada's Montréal office. His practice focuses on corporate, commercial and construction litigation as well as sports law.
Anthony has experience in managing and conducting litigation before arbitral or judicial courts. In his construction law practice, he represents and advises public and private owners, general and specialized contractors, and suppliers in matters involving all facets of the construction industry, including in public-private partnerships.
In his corporate law practice, Anthony has advised representatives of investment dealers and mutual-fund dealers in multi-million dollar litigation cases raising very complex issues related to securities business and financial services distribution regulation. He also represents and advises his clients on investment advisors and registered mutual advisors' right to practice rules.
Anthony has also developed an expertise in sports law, primarily in professional boxing, as he possesses a deep knowledge of combat sports-related regulations in Canada and in many other jurisdictions in the world. Anthony advises sports promoters, professional athletes and other sports stakeholders in drafting, analyzing and negotiating complex commercial agreements, such as promotional, provision of services, appearance, sponsorship, licensing and broadcasting agreements. He also advises professional or high-level athletes on doping matters.
Anthony advised banks that are party to lawsuits relating to lender liability. He also acts in fraud, corruption and assets recovery matters in Canada and many other jurisdictions in the world.
In his litigation and dispute resolution practice, Anthony advises a wide range of clients in a variety of conflicts, and has pleaded before various Québec courts, including the Québec Court of Appeal.
