Overview

Andrew Haikal is a partner in Fasken's Tax Law group in Montréal. He practises in tax planning and corporate taxation, advising on the analysis and implementation of complex tax strategies for major commercial transactions. His work includes mergers and acquisitions, private and public M&A, and cross-border reorganizations. Andrew earned a bachelor's degree in law with honours from the Université de Montréal and a Juris Doctor from Queen's University. He also completed a master's degree in Canadian tax law at HEC Montréal and a master's degree in United States tax law at New York University School of Law. Before joining Fasken, he practised with the tax group of a large international firm. Andrew was admitted in Québec in 2014 and works in French and English, combining Canadian and cross-border tax training with transactional experience.
