Overview

Andrew E. C. McFarlane is a Toronto partner in McMillan's Financial Services Group. His finance practice includes aviation matters, secured and unsecured credit facilities, syndicated and asset-based loans, and other lending products. He advises on aircraft financing arrangements such as leases, conditional sales, secured loans, purchases, sales and ownership structures. Andrew also has extensive experience with workouts, debtor-in-possession financing, bankruptcies, CCAA restructurings and CBCA arrangements, acting for lenders, bondholders, debtors-in-possession and bankruptcy trustees. His project finance and public-private partnership work spans transportation, social infrastructure, defence and electrical transmission projects. In that area, he has advised lenders, equity sponsors and design-build contractors, as well as participants selling project interests, refinancing debt or obtaining lender consent for project changes. Andrew is active in aviation and secured-transactions organizations, including sections and committees of the American, Canadian and Ontario bar associations. He works in English and French.
