Overview

Akhil Vohra is a partner in Ogilvie LLP's Edmonton office. His practice combines construction law with commercial litigation and dispute resolution. In construction matters, he acts for developers, general contractors, construction managers, design-builders, subcontractors and suppliers. His disputes experience includes builders' liens, delay and productivity claims, deficiencies, bonding claims and other issues arising from construction projects. He also drafts, reviews and negotiates construction contracts and related project documents. Beyond construction, Akhil handles commercial tenancy, real estate, condominium, employment and shareholder disputes. He has appeared before the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, the Alberta Court of Justice and arbitration tribunals, including International Chamber of Commerce arbitrations. Akhil joined Ogilvie as a partner in 2023 after practising at several Alberta firms, including Fasken from 2018 to 2020. He has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta since 2014.
