William (Bill) G. Scott is Counsel in MT>Align, a wholly owned division of the firm.

His practice includes the resolution of insurance coverage disputes, reinsurance disputes and complex general liability claims. He has been certified since 1999 as a Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Ontario, the governing body of the Ontario legal profession. He is also regularly involved in complex commercial litigation involving negligence and contractual disputes.

Bill has acted for numerous clients involved in insurance coverage disputes, including directors’ and officers’, general liability, cyber, fidelity, property, life, construction, commercial and environmental coverage matters. He has a special interest in alternate dispute resolution (“ADR”) and participates as counsel in numerous mediations each year. In addition, he regularly speaks and teaches about ADR methods.
