Overview
Thomas (Tom) Deutsch is an experience lawyer with extensive and diverse experience in general corporate, finance and securities related matters. He represents numerous publicly traded companies listed on the TSX-Venture, TSX, NASDAQ, AMEX, AIM and OTCBB exchanges as well as over-the-counter markets.
In addition to assisting public companies with their formation, structuring, business development, financing and listing requirements, Tom provides various private companies with general corporate and securities related advice.
From 1990 to 2005, Tom was a principal owner with a Vancouver-based firm providing general corporate, finance and securities related legal services to public and private companies and their principals.
Towards the end of 2022, Uranium Energy Corp., a leader in uranium production and exploration company operating North America’s newest uranium mine, filed a Form S-3 automatic shelf registration statement under the Securities Act.
On August 22, 2022, Uranium Energy Corp (NYSEAM: UEC) ("UEC") closed its previously announced plan of arrangement (the "Arrangement") under the Canada Business Corporations Act, pursuant to which UEC acquired all of the issued and outstanding common shares of UEX Corporation ("UEX") that it did not already own.
McMillan acted for Deep Sea Mining Finance Ltd. (“DSMF”) in its capacity as pre-filing secured lender and interim lender in connection with the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (“CCAA”) proceedings of Nautilus Minerals Inc. (“NMI”), Nautilus Minerals Pacific Pty. Ltd. and certain related entities in various jurisdictions around the world (collectively, the “Nautilus Group”).
