Simon Fitzpatrick is a partner in our Business Law Group in Toronto. Prior to joining the firm in 1999, he spent three years in London, England practising with a prominent U.S. firm in the area of structured finance.

Simon has a structured finance practice with a primary focus on securitization. He has extensive experience in representing leading Canadian market participants, including acting for originators, securitization conduits, issuers, underwriters and investment banks. He has been involved in a large number of transactions in Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States covering a wide variety of asset classes, including residential and commercial mortgages, trade receivables, CLOs, home equity, lines of credit and equipment lease and loans.

Simon is a member of the Canadian Bar Association. He received his BA (Hons.) from the University of Western Ontario in 1990 and his LLB from Dalhousie University in 1994.
