Overview

Simon E. C. Mortimer is a Partner in Hicks Morley Hamilton Stewart Storie LLP's Toronto office and a labour and employment lawyer. He advises employers on the strategic management of workplace conflict and change, including employment, human rights, labour relations, collective bargaining, grievance arbitrations, certification applications, unfair labour practice allegations, duty of fair representation complaints, decertification applications, discipline, performance management and pay equity. He represents employers before labour boards and in arbitrations, tribunal hearings and mediations, and has negotiated hundreds of collective agreements. He holds an LL.B. from the University of Windsor and a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995.
