Overview
From structuring to fund formation and investments, Shannon has broad experience working closely with fund sponsors and institutional investors on their fund activities across diverse funds and geographies.
With a focus on private equity, Shannon represents fund sponsors on all aspects of the fund formation and capital raising process, as well as public pension plans and other institutional investors in connection with their investments in private investment funds. Co-head of Torys' Private Equity Funds practice, Shannon's broad experience extends to private equity funds, fund-of-funds, hedge funds and venture capital funds.
Shannon has also worked with Sagard Holdings, Northleaf Capital Partners, Dawson Partners (formerly Whitehorse Liquidity Partners), Imperial Capital, BentallGreenOak, OMERS Ventures as well as other fund sponsors to establish and raise capital for their special purpose vehicles and private investment funds.
