Overview

Sarah Stothart is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group at Goodmans. She maintains a broad practice across several areas, but primarily divided between complex commercial, insolvency, and intellectual property litigation.

Sarah has appeared before all levels of Ontario courts and Canadian federal courts, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. She has also appeared before arbitration panels, the Competition Tribunal, the Ontario Energy Board, and in the US before the Delaware Court of Chancery. She is licensed to practice in Ontario and California.

She is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she teaches Legal Research and Writing.

From 2017 to 2019, Sarah sat on the board of directors of Newcomer Women’s Services Toronto, a non-profit organization offering employment, settlement, and language services for newcomer women.
