Overview

Ryan Zahara is a Partner in MLT Aikins' Calgary office and practises primarily in insolvency and restructuring. Over his career, he has worked on proceedings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, and regularly acts for secured lenders, debtors, creditors and court-appointed officers including receivers, monitors and trustees. He represents clients in agricultural, retail, real estate, mining, oil and gas and manufacturing industries, appears before courts in Alberta and other Canadian provinces, and has appeared at the Supreme Court of Canada. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 2006.
