Overview

The Honourable Paul B. Schabas is a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario in the Toronto region. Before his 2019 appointment, he practised at Blakes in Toronto after beginning his career in criminal law, and developed a broad litigation practice with significant media and constitutional work, including leading appellate and Supreme Court of Canada cases. He has also served in legal and community leadership roles and taught media law at the University of Toronto.
