Overview

Maneesha Dakha is an associate in DLA Piper's Vancouver office who practises business law. Her work focuses on general corporate and commercial matters, purchase and sale transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. She regularly assists technology clients by reviewing commercial agreements, drafting term sheets and advising on deal terms. Maneesha also guides clients in heavily regulated industries through complex regulatory landscapes, with experience in gaming and liquor regulations, including licensing. While practising at a prominent business law firm, she was seconded as corporate counsel to Canada's largest publicly traded gaming, entertainment and hospitality company, where she advised business teams and acted as assistant corporate secretary. She has worked with companies at all stages, including emerging and growth-stage businesses. Maneesha helped develop DLA Piper Canada's pro bono business law clinic for Black and Indigenous businesses and served as a Clinic Adjunct at the University of British Columbia's Centre for Business Law during the 2022/2023 academic year. She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2017.
