Joshua Chad is a leading competition, antitrust and foreign investment lawyer who advises clients across the full spectrum of Canadian and international regulatory matters. His practice spans merger review, abuse of dominance, pricing and distribution matters, cartels and class actions, net benefit and national security reviews, as well as marketing and advertising. In addition to competition and foreign investment matters, Joshua regularly provides guidance and advice to clients on broader regulatory issues, including consumer protection, telecommunications and transportation. Joshua is particularly well known for advising on large, complex domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. His experience includes representing Bunge in its merger with Viterra Limited—creating one of the world’s largest agribusiness companies—as well as acting for SK Capital in its acquisition of Apotex, Sunwing in its merger with WestJet following a year-long regulatory review, Paper Excellence in its acquisition of Domtar, and SYNNEX in its acquisition of TechData.
