Overview

Brittany Shamess is a partner in Blakes' Toronto office and practises in Corporate & Commercial. She joined Blakes' Litigation Group in 2016 after completing her J.D. at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. She also holds an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Victoria and a B.A. from Western University, where she graduated with distinction. During law school she served as a senior editor of the Critical Analysis of Law journal and worked as a research assistant; she has also worked on privacy-law compliance projects and as a journalism intern in India.
