Overview

Riley Whitlock is a Calgary partner at Bennett Jones whose practice focuses on commercial real estate, project finance, municipal matters, land-use planning and development. He advises on the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and sale of commercial property, including office towers, industrial sites, shopping centres and condominium projects. Riley also works on joint ventures, co-ownership arrangements, shareholder structures, general and limited partnerships, related reorganizations, corporate matters and insolvency issues. He has represented public and private real estate investment trusts, lenders, developers and wholly owned municipal corporations in major Alberta acquisitions, developments and financings. His project experience includes multi-parcel, transit-oriented and mixed-use developments as well as significant industrial and retail portfolios. Riley was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2014 and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, Canadian Bar Association and Calgary Bar Association.
