Overview

Jeff St. Aubin is a partner in Cassels' Construction Group in Toronto. He assists clients through every phase of construction projects, from project structuring, procurement, and contract preparation and negotiation to dispute avoidance and resolution. Jeff acts for municipalities, cities, utilities, private owners, general contractors, and contractors. His disputes work includes contractual claims, interpretation issues, lien and trust claims, performance-security enforcement, insolvency responses, negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings. He has worked on subways and light rail, heavy rail, nuclear facilities, bridges, hospitals, wastewater plants, renewable-energy developments, and electricity and natural-gas infrastructure. Before becoming a lawyer, Jeff spent ten years with an international engineering firm and managed telecommunications companies, experience that informs his practical approach. He later served as a legal director at Infrastructure Ontario. Jeff was admitted in Ontario in 2014 and holds an LLM in Energy and Infrastructure Law.
