Jordan McKie
London, Ontario

Overview
Jordan practises in Family Law with extensive experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. At Lerners, he is also the lawyer responsible for dependant support claims, a nexus between family law and estate law.
Jordan has exclusively practiced in family law since he was called to the Bar in 2015. He has significant experience in litigation with a strong foundation in alternative dispute resolution methods such as negotiation, mediation and arbitration, to pursue his clients’ interests.
Jordan is a confident and pragmatic lawyer who focuses on how to achieve the best outcomes for his clients. His areas of focus include issues arising from separation and divorce surrounding custody and access disputes, child support, and spousal support.
Jordan prides himself on never losing sight of his clients in pursuit of their cases. He knows that everyone is different and what works for one person may not work for another. He prefers to adopt a tailored individual approach to each case to meet the individual needs of his clients.
“Thank you for the great care you gave my case. I will highly recommend you to anyone needing a family law lawyer. I felt very safe and trusted the whole team immensely.”
Acting Adjunct Professor, Family Law Externship Program, Western Law (2024-present) - Jordan teaches this program, now for the second year running. Following his first year, he was invited to expand the program from a January term course into a full semester course. In addition to teaching and grading, this gives Jordan an opportunity to connect with members of the London bench and bar, who take students for “shadowing” experiences.
Joint Community Liaison and Resource Committee - Jordan joined this committee by judicial invitation in 2024, in which several local bar members meet with the chief administrative judge of the family law court in London, as well as with members of London police, Children’s Aid Society, Merrymount Family Support & Crisis Centre, and other key players in the London family law sector. Following the invitation, his three-year appointment was granted by Chief Justice Morawetz.
Jordan McKie works out of the London office as a partner in the Family Law group. He has significant experience in litigation with a strong foundation in alternative dispute resolution including negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
