Andrea Risk

Andrea is a Partner in the Labour & Employment group. She has appeared in all levels of the Ontario Court (Superior Court, Court of Appeal and Divisional Court) as well as before the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada. She also regularly appears before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario, various regulatory colleges, and arbitrators.

Andrea is a trusted advisor who assists and represents employers in both the public and private sectors. She also does considerable work for educational institutions and health care organizations. Andrea provides strategic advice and practical solutions to her clients, helping them navigate complex and often sensitive situations. She is a skilled advocate with extensive experience and expertise. Clients appreciate her thoughtful and pragmatic approach, her directness, and her ability to advance their case strategically while also ensuring alignment with broader objectives.

Andrea provides highly specialized advice and support in matters involving workplace issues, human rights, privacy, individual terminations, labour arbitrations, union certification applications and collective bargaining, professional regulation and discipline, historical sexual abuse, and dispute resolution.

When she is not working, Andrea can be found spending time outdoors with her family or traveling.
