He has extensive experience in insurance defence litigation. He is primarily engaged in the defence of tort claims against school boards, municipalities, police and fire departments, commercial landlords and property managers, retail stores and supermarkets, taverns, sports organizations, children’s aid societies and other public institutions. He also has extensive experience in occupiers’ liability, sports torts, alcohol liability, winter maintenance, roads & sidewalks, professional E&O claims, ancient sexual abuse claims, and the law of employment. Finally, Ian also has considerable appellate experience.
