Overview
With over two decades of exclusive practice in personal injury law, Francesca has established herself as a highly respected and accomplished personal injury lawyer.
Francesca's in-depth knowledge and fierce determination in advocating for her clients have been pivotal in delivering results. Called to the Bar of Ontario in 2000, Francesca’s experience extends to successfully conducting jury and non-jury trials before the Superior Court of Justice. She has also represented clients at arbitrations and various boards and tribunals, including the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and the License Appeal Tribunal (LAT).
Over the last 24 years, Francesca’s cases have involved children, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injury, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, motor vehicle, motorcycle, and truck accidents, including hit-and-runs and unmaintained and poorly designed roadway accidents, and recreational injuries such as ATV, snowmobile, boating, watercraft, skiing, and cycling accidents. In addition, Francesca has extensive experience advocating for those whose long-term disability benefits and accident benefits have been improperly terminated.
Francesca obtained both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Western University and, in recognition of her academic excellence, was awarded a Special University Scholarship and Graduate Teaching Scholarship. After completing her graduate studies, Francesca received her law degree from McGill University, where she graduated with Distinction. Her education at both Western and McGill, along with her early academic achievements, set a strong foundation for her journey in the legal profession.
Beyond her legal practice, Francesca's contributions to the community and the legal profession are noteworthy. She is actively involved in several legal associations and community organizations, highlighting her role as a leader in both the legal community and beyond. She is a speaker, engaging actively in various conferences, and works with community hospitals and associations, sharing her vast knowledge and experience in personal injury law. She has also been a contributing columnist for The Hamilton Spectator and the Town of Oakville newspaper.
Francesca is currently a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA), a Board Member of the Charity of Hope, and the Past President of the Hamilton Brain Injury Association and the Hamilton Lawyers Club. Over the past ten years, she has served as the Articling Principal at Ross & McBride, underscoring her dedication to mentoring the next generation of lawyers.
Outside the courtroom, Francesca's interests include skiing, sailing, cooking, soccer, and family life with her husband and two children. Francesca provides legal services in both English and Italian.
