Overview
Anandi Naipaul is a Partner and Personal Injury Lawyer at Ross & McBride LLP.
Anandi represents injured people and families who have lost loved ones, working tirelessly to help them achieve the best possible outcome after an accident. Her practice is devoted exclusively to plaintiffs and spans a wide spectrum of cases including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, catastrophic impairment, disability insurance, wrongful death, nursing home litigation and medical malpractice.
With a deep understanding of complex systems and legislation, Anandi is a determined advocate for her client’s rights. Guided by a people-first approach to personal injury law, she combines legal expertise with compassion, ensuring her clients feel heard, supported and empowered throughout their journey.
Anandi has appeared as Counsel before many levels of Ontario courts and has extensive experience advocating before various boards and tribunals. She is a member of the Hamilton Law Association, Hamilton Lawyer's Club, The Hamilton Club, OTLA and Ontario Bar Association. Beyond the legal community, she is a proud member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Tiger Town Council and serves on the Board of the YWCA Hamilton and the St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation Board. She has held numerous leadership roles including Past Board member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, a Past President of the Hamilton Medical-Legal Society, Past President of the Hamilton Lawyers Club, and Past Chair of the Lawyers Legacy for Children.
During her tenure as Chair of the firm (2022-2024), Anandi focused on building equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives that benefited Ross & McBride’s lawyers, staff, and clients. She prioritized embracing technologies to modernize client service and make legal services more accessible. Anandi continues to lead these efforts as the head of the firm's Diversity Committee, ensuring ongoing progress in these critical areas, and was nominated for a YWCA Women of Distinction award in 2023.
Raised in Ancaster. Anandi earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at McMaster University before obtaining her law degree from the University of Leeds in England in 2001. She was called to the Bar in 2003 and has practiced at Ross & McBride for over 20 years.
Outside her legal practice, Anandi enjoys golfing, skiing, practicing yoga and playing the piano. She treasures time with her husband and two daughters and she is a devoted supporter of the arts, dance and sports in Hamilton.
