Greenwood, TEP, has practiced law in Nova Scotia for over 35 years, advising clients on corporate and commercial transactions, commercial and residential real estate, and wills, estates and trusts matters. Kelly obtained her Bachelor of Commerce with distinction from Dalhousie University in 1985 and her Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1988. She was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1989, has been working as a lawyer in Halifax since that time, and along the way served on the Firm’s Management Committee for over 8 years. Kelly is a member of the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners. Kelly advises on estate planning and elder law issues including preparation of wills, alter ego and joint partner trusts and testamentary trusts, enduring powers of attorney, and personal care directives. She acts as proctor for many estates, advising personal representatives and beneficiaries on issues arising in connection with the Probate Court requirements and issues relating to the distribution of assets to beneficiaries and to heirs-at-law.
