Overview

Jillian’s practice is focused on insurance litigation and class actions. Fluent in both English and French, Jillian has built up her practice with clients who have come to depend on her to provide practical and effective solutions to their problems. Jillian is a Harvard-trained negotiator whose practice is focused on alternative dispute resolution.

Outside of practicing law, Jillian has been a part-time instructor at the Dalhousie Schulich School of Law, teaching classes in Insurance Law and Civil Procedure. Jillian is a member of the Canadian Defence Lawyers, The Advocates’ Society, and the Nova Scotia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, where she has served as Chair of the Nova Scotia Insurance Law Section. Jillian is also a glider pilot instructor with the Royal Canadian Air Cadets and a private pilot, as well as a Board Member for a charitable organization dealing with housing and addictions.
