Overview

Joel is a Partner with Myers LLP specializing in Labour and Employment Law.

Joel assists union and association clients in a broad range of matters such as grievance arbitrations, labour board proceedings, interest arbitrations, mediations, collective bargaining, disability and Workers’ Compensation issues.

Joel also provides advice to non-unionized clients on a host of issues, including severance package reviews, wrongful dismissals, employment contracts, human rights issues, Workers’ Compensation issues, disability insurance appeals, and more.

Joel has appeared before grievance arbitrators, interest arbitrators, the Manitoba Labour Board, the Court of King’s Bench, and the Appeal Commission of Manitoba.

Joel has also served on the Board of Directors for several local charitable organizations.

Outside the office, Joel enjoys time with his family and time spent at the lake.
