Overview

Zev Smith is a partner in BLG's Disputes Commercial & Construction Group in Toronto. He is a commercial litigator whose practice focuses on complex contract disputes, contested corporate transactions, securities, class action defence, product liability and competition. He also leads internal investigations and responds to regulatory, criminal and quasi-criminal investigations related to economic sanctions, corruption, anti-money laundering, national security, securities and fraud. He has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, the Federal Court, Tax Court of Canada and administrative tribunals across Canada, including the Ontario Securities Commission. Before joining BLG, he was an associate at Stikeman Elliott LLP in Toronto. He was admitted to Ontario in 2016 and holds a J.D. from the University of Windsor and an H.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
