Overview
After more than 40 years in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group in Toronto, Patrick O'Kelly retired from the firm in May 2026.
A formidable litigator in professional negligence, product liability and securities, Patrick built deep expertise in auditors' negligence and the defence of class actions. He earned recognition in The Best Lawyers in Canada from 2013 to 2026 in Class Action Litigation, and Corporate and Commercial Litigation.
Patrick co-authored two definitive firm publications: Secondary Market Liability in Canada, and Directors and Officers in Canada, both published by Stikeman Elliott.
Beyond his legal practice, Patrick served for several years on the Canadian Bar Association's Continuing Legal Education Committee, and its Submissions Review Committee. He also serves on the board of the Halton Aphasia Centre.
