Overview

Chrysten Perry, KC, is a partner in the Projects and Infrastructure and Energy Groups, a member of the Partnership Board and former Managing Partner of the Calgary Office. She has more than 30 years of experience practicing corporate and commercial law in the energy industry. Chrysten advises clients on a diverse array of energy-driven matters including project developments, mergers and acquisitions, power purchase agreements, joint ventures, transportation, processing and sales arrangements, funding agreements, and other transactional matters. She is also widely known for her expertise in oil and gas operating and governance matters, and her solution-oriented advice is frequently sought in connection with the strategic and business law aspects of energy-related matters.

Distinguished in her field, Chrysten is recognized by Chambers Canada and Chambers Global as a Band 1 lawyer in Energy: Oil & Gas; as well, in 2026, Best Lawyers named her Lawyer of the Year in Natural Resources.

Chrysten is a former director of the Canadian Energy Law Foundation and Canadian Institute of Resources Law, University of Calgary, as well as a member of the Law Society of Alberta. She also writes and speaks on a wide range of legal and energy-related issues and actively supports causes in her community.
