Sharon Ohayon, a seasoned solicitor, focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate. Her expertise extends to providing practical, business-oriented legal advice to a diverse clientele, including landowners, developers, builders, landlords, tenants, joint-venturers and private lenders. Sharon’s proficiency covers the entire spectrum of real property transactions, including the purchase, sale and financing of industrial warehouses and distribution centres, commercial office complexes, retail shopping centres, residential apartment buildings and hotels.

In addition to her transactional work, Sharon acts for landlords and tenants on various leasing matters, including single-tenant building leases, build-to-suit leases, ground leases, office leases and retail leases, with extensive expertise in industrial leasing. She also brings her experience to bear in land development, subdivision, and mixed-use developments.

Passionate about nurturing the next generation of lawyers, Sharon is a sessional instructor at the University of Alberta's School of Business, where she teaches a course on legal topics in commercial real estate.

As an active member of the legal community, Sharon serves as a Member-at-Large of the Canadian Bar Association Commercial Property & Leasing subsection and is a past-Chair of the Canadian Bar Association Business Law subsection. Sharon frequently presents on the topic of commercial leasing and commercial real estate, including presentations to the Legal Education Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association and industry. To stay apprised of new developments in the commercial real estate industry, Sharon regularly attends conferences and industry events. She is also an active member and a Past-President of Edmonton CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women).
