Greg has successfully litigated a wide variety of civil and commercial litigation matters, including both municipal and energy related matters. His litigation experience includes:
Greg’s trial and appeal experience is extensive, and he has appeared multiple times before every level of court in Alberta and been involved in several applications for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada. Greg has also appeared before several administrative tribunals.
Greg has been recognized by his peers for a number of years in The Best Lawyers in Canada for his “high caliber work in Insurance Law, and Corporate and Commercial Litigation” and also has been identified by Benchmark Canada for a number of years in their research as “one of the preeminent litigation practitioners in Canada” and highlighted in Benchmark Canada as a Litigation Star. Greg is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, The Trial Honorary Society.
Greg joined Parlee McLaws in 1984 and became a partner in 1990. He served on several firm committees, including a term as Managing Partner of the firm’s Edmonton office before relocating his practice to the Calgary office in 2006. He is the senior litigator in our Calgary office.
