Danica Fersovitch is an experienced solicitor in the firm’s Commercial Group, with a practice focused on commercial lending, commercial real estate and development, and corporate law. She has quickly established a strong reputation for providing practical advice, technical expertise, and thoughtful management of complex transactions and client relationships. Danica takes pride in delivering commercially practical, risk-based advice that keeps transactions moving efficiently while remaining focused on what matters most to her clients.

Danica regularly advises financial institutions, private lenders, and borrowers on a broad range of financing matters, including real estate development, construction, term and CMHC-insured financing, agricultural financing, corporate financing, and equipment financing. She has also developed unique expertise in condominium corporation financing, advising both lenders and condominium corporations on the unique security requirements, loan structures, and owner and board approval requirements involved in these transactions.

In addition to her lending practice, Danica regularly advises clients on a wide range of commercial transactions including acquisitions and dispositions, and corporate matters.

Before becoming a lawyer, Danica designed software that assists with the preparation of commercial financing documents, due diligence searches, and security registrations, which continues to be used by Witten and other law firms. She continues to consult on the development of new legal technology and has obtained continuing professional development certification in drafting and negotiating IT agreements, reflecting her long-standing interest in leveraging technology to improve legal service delivery and transaction efficiency.
