Overview
Bryan’s practice focuses on litigation and business immigration matters.
Bryan is an experienced advocate with a broad practice encompassing commercial negotiations and acquisitions, construction project strategy, contractual disputes, commercial fraud, construction liens, debt collection, product liability, shareholders’ disputes, and disciplinary proceedings. He has appeared as lead counsel before all levels of court in Alberta, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Federal Court of Appeal, as well as in leave applications to the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also appeared as lead counsel before the Court of King’s Bench of Manitoba, the Court of King’s Bench of Saskatchewan, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories. Bryan also has extensive experience representing clients in both domestic and international arbitrations.
In addition to active litigation, Bryan frequently provides strategic advice at the pre-litigation stage and assists clients in developing tailored contracts and commercial strategies to avoid disputes.
In his business immigration practice, Bryan advises employers and individuals on a broad spectrum of immigration matters. He has experience with virtually every type of application and is frequently engaged to prepare and submit high volumes of applications to government authorities. Bryan also guides clients in responding to immigration audits and addressing workforce mobility issues.
A significant component of Bryan’s immigration practice involves appellate advocacy. He has appeared as lead counsel before the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Federal Court of Canada on immigration appeals and judicial review applications.
