Andrea Steen, a seasoned civil litigator, focuses on debt collection and foreclosures. Quickly becoming a highly regarded lawyer in her field, Andrea’s expertise extends to representing both financial institutions and private lenders in matters of mortgage enforcement (both residential and commercial), unsecured debt collection and judgment enforcement, including commercial and small business loans. With a broad geographic practice area that spans Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, she regularly advocates for her clients in Court in all three regions.

Andrea is widely recognized for her expertise in foreclosures, civil procedure and judgment enforcement, frequently sharing her knowledge at seminars organized by the Legal Education Society of Alberta. She also provides monthly caselaw updates for the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) and is regularly invited to other forums, presenting to and engaging with a wide range of legal community members, including judges and emerging lawyers. Andrea's presentations reflect her extensive experience representing clients at courts across Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

Beyond her litigation practice, Andrea is deeply committed to her community. She serves on the Board of Directors for Edmonton’s Fringe Theatre and is an active volunteer with Pro Bono Law Alberta. She serves as the Chair of the CBA Creditor/Debtor North sub-section and frequently mentors first-year law students and junior lawyers through the CBA Mentor Program. Within the firm, Andrea is co-chair of Witten’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee.

Outside the courtroom, Andrea is passionate about supporting local business, indie music, traveling, learning about dinosaurs, and she cherishes time spent with her partner and their young family (but not necessarily in that order).
